NFTs (non-fungible tokens) remain one of the most interesting, enigmatic, and controversial aspects of the world of cryptocurrency. The investments have legions of fans, and just as many critics.
NFTs are also some of the most dynamic investments in the sector.
Recently, I caught up with Jordan Tate, director of the new NFT Media Lab at the University of Cincinnati. He shared his expertise and thoughts on where NFTs are right now, and where they might be headed.

Q: How do you think NFTs have changed the conversation about crypto?
A: I think in many ways, NFTs have opened up the conversations about crypto to a larger group of people who are tangentially interested in cryptocurrencies but also interested in the capabilities and applications of NFTs. I think people conflate the two far too often given the nature of both systems and the blockchain - so for better or worse people seem to see shared benefits (i.e. investment capabilities) and problems (i.e. environmental concerns).
