I’ve made no secret of my love of Algorand.
The blockchain has plenty of good things brewing, and I’m interested to see what’s next. I invested in early 2021, and I haven’t sold any. I also don’t believe the current price reflects the potential of Algorand’s tech.
And the projects being built on top of Algorand are also fueling my bullish stance. It feels like I’m finding out about great new projects every week. I don’t expect that momentum to stop.
With that in mind, I’m sharing a list of four Algorand Standard Assets (ASAs) that I’m watching in 2022. Each benefits from Algorand’s security, speed, ease of use, and more.
Still, let’s be clear: ASAs carry high risk.
I have no idea if any of these picks will succeed or fail in the long term, but I feel like these projects will give me great perspective on the ecosystem and potential of the Algorand blockchain.
I have positions in some, and others are simply on my “watch list".
Yieldly
There are many fans of Yieldly out there, and I’m one of them.
Some view Yieldly as the strongest ASA out there.
The platform allows people to maximize returns through staking, and to earn crypto through Defi applications.
Yieldly allows users to maximize gains for their crypto and grow their holdings to a high level.
The Yieldly team also built a token bridge with Ethereum.
In the past, I’ve used Yieldly to gain positions in several other tokens.
Shosha
This is a newly launched gaming platform being built on Algorand.
Shosha is a token that powers a first-person shooter metaverse game.
The project has a low market cap, with a total of 88 million tokens.
I’ve mentioned before that I believe crypto gaming will be a huge market in 2022.
Token volatility is high right now.
Plenty of people in the Algorand community are skeptical of the project, given the team’s low social media presence.
However, early fans believe there is an untapped potential here that Shosha might meet.
Opulous
Without a doubt, Opulous is one of the best (if not the best) performing ASAs of 2021.
It has many fans and has won several awards.
The project works to bring Defi to the music industry.
It offers NFTs, allows users to invest in up-and-coming musicians, and provides Defi loans in the music industry.
Investors can also stake their coins.
This coin is not as volatile as some other ASAs.
Choice Coin
This is a governance and voting token.
While the coin is a relative newcomer, it made waves recently with large APY rates on Yieldly. That attracted many new investors.
This is another coin with high volatility.
Choice has its share of detractors worried about the people and the tech behind the coin.
All these picks are currently on Tinyman, and are verified assets. And this post is just meant to be an overview of what is out there, not a deep dive into specifics. There are also other great Algorand projects that I haven’t mentioned.
What do you think? Are you interested in, or investing in ASAs too? Which ones are your favorites?
